One of our favorite things about summer is cooking with what's already growing. Whether you're picking vegetables from your own garden, stopping by the farmers market, or grabbing local produce from the grocery store, eating seasonally means fresher flavors, supporting local growers, and making the most of what's in abundance. Our garden has been overflowing with romaine lettuce, so we turned it into one of our favorite quick dinners.

Ingredients

  •  ½ lb ground turkey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons K-Mama Mild Sauce
  • 4–6 romaine lettuce leaves per person
  • Sliced cucumbers
  • Sliced red peppers
Directions
  1. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over high heat.
  2. Add the ground turkey and cook for about 5 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium and stir in 4 tablespoons of K-Mama Mild Sauce. Continue cooking for another 5–7 minutes, or until the turkey is fully cooked and nicely browned.
  4. While the turkey cooks, wash and dry your romaine leaves. Slice any vegetables you'd like to add (we recommend cucumbers and red peppers for a fresh, crunchy bite.)
  5. Build your wraps by filling each lettuce leaf with turkey, topping with veggies, and finishing with an extra drizzle of K-Mama.
Fresh, flavorful, packed with protein, and ready in about 15 minutes. It's the perfect summer meal when you want something light, healthy, and full of Korean-inspired flavor.
