Sweet Heat Pancakes

If you're the kind of person who loves sweet and savory combos, these Sweet Heat Pancakes are about to be your new favorite meal. Think of pigs in a blanket. That perfect bite of warm, fluffy pancake wrapped around something rich and savory, balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. Now, take that same vibe and add a bold Korean kick with K-Mama Sauce. It’s a little unexpected, but trust us, it works!

Pancakes aren’t just for breakfast. Whether you’re craving a quick and satisfying meal in the morning, a cozy weekend brunch, or a late-night snack, these pancakes come together in minutes and hit all the right notes. 

Ingredients:

  •  1 1/4 cup Almond Milk (or milk of your choice)
  •  3/4 cup Flour (substitute gluten-free if needed) 
  •  3 Tbsp Butter (or dairy-free alternative) 
  •  3 Tbsp Sugar 3 Eggs (use flax eggs for a vegan option) 
  •  Salt to taste 
  •  2 Tbsp Baking Powder 
  •  2 Tbsp Spicy K-Mama Sauce 
  • Maple Syrup (for topping)
  •  Optional: Sausage links for extra savory goodness

Instructions:

1. Mix the Liquids: In a mixing bowl, combine all liquid ingredients except K-Mama Sauce. Warm the butter in the microwave on a low power setting before adding it to the mixture.

2. Incorporate the Dry Ingredients: Slowly whisk in the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder, mixing well until smooth. If the mixture appears too liquidy, add extra baking powder until desired consistency. 

3. Add K-Mama Sauce: Add 2 tablespoons of K-Mama Spicy Sauce to the batter. If you want more heat, go with our Hottest. If you want less heat, use our Original. Gluten-free options of these flavors are available as well. 

4. Cook Cakes: Heat a frying pan over medium heat and coat with butter or alternative to prevent pancakes from sticking.  Pour in the pancake batter at the desired size. For more heat, immediately drizzle K-Mama Sauce onto the pancake before it sets. 

5. Flip & Finish: Cook until golden brown on both sides, then transfer to a plate. 

6. Serve & Enjoy: Top with maple syrup for the ultimate sweet and spicy bite. 

Optional: Add sausage on the side (or wrapped inside!) for the full sweet-savory-spicy experience.
