Ingredients
- 8 Eggs
- 7 Shishito Peppers (or substitute with sweet peppers)
- Approx. 1 cup of water (enough to submerge eggs halfway while boiling)
- ½ Tbsp Salt 1 Tbsp White Vinegar
- 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 4 Tbsp K-Mama Sauce (Hottest)
- 2 Tsp Honey
- Rice (for serving)
- Optional Garnishes: Perilla Leaves, Scallions, Chili Flakes
Directions
1. Prepare the Soft-Boiled Eggs: In a pot, boil water with salt and vinegar. Add the eggs to the boiling water and cook for 7 minutes. Once done, remove the eggs from the pot and place them in cold water to cool. Carefully peel the eggshells off.
2. Make the Sauce: Combine the following: 4 Tbsp K-Mama Sauce (Hottest) 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce, 2 Tsp Honey Stir the ingredients until the sauce is smooth and evenly mixed.
3. Marinate the Eggs: Place the peeled eggs into the pan with the sauce. Stir the eggs gently to coat them evenly with the sauce. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring continuously to prevent burning and to ensure the eggs soak up the sauce.
4. Add the Shishito or Sweet Peppers: Once the sauce has thickened, add the Shishito peppers (or sweet peppers). Let the peppers cook fully in the sauce. If needed, add 1 Tbsp of water to help cook the peppers. Stir in more K-Mama sauce for additional heat and flavor.
5. Serve and Enjoy Serve the K-Mama Braised Eggs on top of rice. Optional garnishes include perilla leaves, scallions, or chili flakes.
